C&rsquo;est dans cette ville que le moine Jacques Cl\u00e9ment, arm\u00e9 par Fausta, doit assassiner le roi de France pour permettre au duc de Guise de monter sur le tr\u00f4n\u00e9. Mais le moine ne frappe pas. Tout \u00e9tait si bien r\u00e9gl\u00e9 qu&rsquo;il avait fallu quelque miracle pour sauver Henri III !<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ce miracle, c&rsquo;est le chevalier de Pardaillan, qui se retrouve face \u00e0 face avec Fausta.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Vivant ! Boulevers\u00e9e, Fausta fait alors \u00e0 Jean de Pardaillan des propositions enflamm\u00e9es&#8230; qu&rsquo;il repousse une fois de plus.
